We have two children in particular, who have Sensory Integration Disorder. My supervising directress does a wonderful job at catering to these children. She understands what they’re needs are, and tries to create a classroom that provides them with different opportunities to help them relax and calm their bodies

Re: Do your kids drive you crazy?

children with special needs have problems controlling their bodies and need an outlet to relieve some of their pent up energy. The figits for some reason calms children down because they are focusing all of their attention on one thing and are still able to move their hands around addressing their inner desire for movement.

Re: Do your kids drive you crazy?

That would make them busy. I moved back in with my parents to focus on my Montessori training, so I was blessed to have the extra room for my daughter. Unfortunately, last week, it rained like crazy in Chicago, and her playroom got flooded! :( I had to move EVERYTHING upstairs...which is kind of a blessing in disguise. I had wanted to move her playroom upstairs so she could have access to it whenever she wanted to. Although it's not in the ideal place (it share's it's space with the dining room table), she loves it. When she first saw it, her first words were..."WOW!"

Re: Do your kids drive you crazy?

I like your site! Your daughter's playroom/classroom is great! . . . We don't have the space (or storage) to make a space like that in our house! Thanks for stopping by Momtessori!
